As we have already told you, making the vest will only require equipment available at your house. If you are the one who is going to wear it, ask your mom to provide you with the necessary items.

To start of the process, let us give you a list of the things you need-

  • Paper bag
  • Scissors
  • Measuring tool
  • Glue
  • Table cloth
  • Marker

Before you get started with the steps, get the things you need and put them all in front of you so that you will not face any difficulties ahead.

Steps to Follow

You will need a green t-shirt to make an easy elf costume. We will show you two ways to turn the t-shirt into an outfit. The first way will require you to cut the tee, and in a second way, you can skip it.
For the first way, grab your scissor and cut the bottom of the t-shirt in a zig-zag pattern. Next, you need to cut the sleeves as well.

If you do not wish to cut the tee, you can take green art paper and create the zig-zag pattern. Glue the paper at the bottom of the tee, and you are done. As for the sleeves, you can fold them.

Now, you need to do some DIY to the beanie you are going to use. Depending on the beanie color, you need to add a ribbon to the opposite color so that it will blend well.
You are done DIY-ing the items. Now you need to assemble everything to get the outfit ready. You may think with all the work that, you are going nowhere. But once you put on the whole outfit, everything will make sense.

To make an easy elf costume, first, wear a red t-shirt. Then, on top of that, wear a green t-shirt. Wear the pants and matching socks with matching shoes. Finally, put on a beanie, and you’re done!

You can add more details by adding an elf ear and a belt around the hip if you want. You can buy them from a store or make them with paper and some color. As for the belt, you can use ribbons if you cannot find anything else.
