How to Make a Christmas Tree Skirt From a Round Tablecloth

Thinking that we never had a traditional Christmas tree, I never created a Christmas tree dress, just put a little red fleece sweater across the plant anyway. My sister-in-law gave me her old artificial Christmas tree, and my children were excited to get to beautify a “natural” Christmas tree.

And so I offered to send a fresh set of clothes to our “fresh” tree but in Cucicucoo aesthetic, reusing what I just seemed to have. And what I occurred to get was a red Christmas tablecloth which my grandma acquired from me. Excellent for a skirt with a personal significance added to a Christmas tree, and no expense since I already was all I wanted!

Would you like to make a beautiful Christmas tree skirt out of an old tablecloth? You could also use standard cloth yarn if you don’t have a suitable tablecloth. Let’s continue!

Components

  • A table cloth.
  • Gauging ribbon.
  • Water-soluble ink marker ink.
  • Pins, cord, and needles for computers.
  • Snaps (form sewed by hand or sort added with a snap-press).
  • Model circular skirt (optional. I’ll tell you all about it in the present time).

Measurement

Have your Christmas tree out and place it on your display. Our tree’s foundation was far too tiny, and the fallen tree across several moments, so I ultimately shafted the foundation to a more significant piece of broken timber, which I needed to offer it much more reliability. I realize it was awful, but the tree never dropped again since no other delicate decorations were lost. Yet the awful foundation suggested we cannot even part without the skirt of a Christmas tree!

Cutting and Stitching

  • Cut down lines identified.
  • Unfold a garment. When you stitch two levels around each other, place one of these on the edge of the other, and face up to the right ends. Cut up an unbroken line from the outer parts in attempting to open in there anyway.
  • Lock all corners just over (inner circle, regular cut, and outer edge).
  • Stitch with 1 cm side down right over the sides, creating a gap at one of the smooth edges. Attach the bends and angles, switch the garment straight out, press straight and topstitch all around and close the opening (as seen on the right side).
  • I recommend you read my tutorial on flipping, topstitching, cutting, and notching if you’re not acquainted with this procedure.
  • And you’ve got a Christmas tree dress in there! You should do it this way, tie it towards the bottom of the Christmas tree and cover the corners. Then you might attach a couple of photos to close things down.
  • If you’d like to insert pictures, stitch them on the two sharp sides, or implement them.
Christmas Tree and Cover the Corners

Flawless! Way more than the awful foundation of plastic and wood, which is covered below! I continued to put my Christmas tree skirt plain as the initial tablecloth was always a cherished image of my granny’s Christmas house, so you can utilize to attach pleasant patterns to it or choose more decorative material to continue with, instead of recycled a tablecloth.
