Things You Will Need

1. A wire

2. A scissor

3. Some feathers

4. Thread (your preferred color)

5. Laces and ribbons

How to Make a Feathered Headband

Step 1

First of all, you have to acquire your head’s measurement. So, take the wire and wrap it around your head. Once you get the correct measurement, cut the residual, and make a twist to attach both ends together.

Step 2

Now, cut, take the ribbons, and cut them according to the same length of the wire circle. Then start tying the ribbons to the wire.

Step 3
Start to plait/twist the ribbons around the wire and continue it until you reach another end. Once you reach the end, tie a knot to secure the attachment.

Step 4

Now, it is time to untie the original knot. Twist the loose pieces to connect with the other side and then tie loose ends in a knot

Step 5

The next step is to add the feathers. You will need to poke the feathers into the space between the wires and the ribbons. Once the feathers are in place, use the twine to secure them to the wire circle.

Step 6

Use needle and thread to stitch all of them together. Once you stitch them perfectly, check the headband if you have missed any points. If everything is okay, cut the ends of the feather.

Step 7

Now cut a piece of lace following the length of the first and the last feather. Then use your glue gun to secure the feathers with the lace. This will make the headband stronger and more durable so that you can use it for a long time.

Final Thoughts

That’s it; your DIY feather headband is ready to use. You can add as many feathers as you want and extend the look. The design is completely up to me; I just have shown the simplest one. If you have got any questions to ask, feel free to use the comment section below.
