Process One
Step One: Collect the necessary materials. You will need popsicle sticks, scissors, or a knife to cut them with, and an Exacto blade is best for precision cuts. If you can’t find popsicle sticks at your local store (especially if it’s winter), ask someone who works there about ordering some in bulk because they’re not very expensive. They’ll know what you mean when you say “popsicles.”
Step Two: No matter how creative or traditional you want your project to be, always lay out the pieces of wood on paper first. This will create a blueprint for you to follow and prevent waste once everything has been assembled into one piece. To transfer the design, use pencils or pencil crayons. Or, if you’re feeling confident, go ahead and cut them out!

- The first way is to use a drill bit and run your hand along with it; however, be careful because there’s a chance of getting hurt with bits coming off the wood.
- The second way is drilling holes into some pieces of cardboard and then lining up those drilled-out parts onto where they need to go on top of each piece before lining everything else up again, so nothing falls off when doing this step.
- The third way is using your hands to make the holes by running them across the top and along the side of each piece, then lining up those drilled-out parts onto where they need to go on top of each piece before lining everything else up again, so nothing falls off when doing this step. From here, either uses pencils/pencil crayons to transfer the design or go ahead and cut them out with a craft knife.
Step Five: Apply glue everywhere it needs to be applied as laid out in Step Four since you’re ready for that now – both sides of wood pieces and their corresponding cardboard templates, etc. I used Elmer’s Wood Glue, but any type should work fine, really; make sure the glue is of good quality.
Apply all four to one side of each piece and wait for it to dry on the other side; this will help ensure a much stronger bond and make your life easier when applying them later.
Step Six: Put in all nails/screws where applicable – at first, I was worried about using too many, but after trying out different methods that seemed like they would work with popsicle sticks alone (i.e., taping them together), I found these pieces don’t have enough strength without something else running through their middle section. So again, be liberal here and hammer away.
Process Two
For making dollhouse furniture using popsicles, you need some necessary instruments. At first, you will need popsicles and some chopsticks. Then you will require white glue, which can easily attach the popsicles. You will need some tissue paper for wiping the extra adhesive.
Then you will need a knife to cut the popsicles and a ruler. After managing all this, you can start making the furniture. Today we will discuss the making of a dollhouse miniature bed. For the bed, you will have to take some chopsticks and popsicles. Now you have to cut the popsicles for four ends of the bed. Then using the chopsticks, you have to attach them.
The popsicles and the chopsticks will be secured using white glue. Once the bed frame is prepared, you have to make the mattress frame by laying down Popsicle sticks. Then you can take cardboard and some fabric. Then you have to measure the cardboard and cut it according to the measurement of the bed.
After you’ve prepared the cardboard, you need to create a pocket out of fabric to insert the cardboard into. Then, you sew the pocket shut to create the mouth of the dollhouse furniture. Next, you create a pillow in the same way and place it on the bed. And that’s it! Your dollhouse furniture made out of popsicle sticks is complete.
