Step 1

We are going to start the process by making a loop for our crochet needle. Now place it on your needle. Now you have to make the loops on to your pegs. In this case, I am going to make use of the right side and make knits to it. Now you will see the first loop appearing on your needle. This is one complete stitch. Now you have to make another loop by taking your yarn behind your work and then over the peg.

Step 2

Take your yarn and place it from the left of the first peg you want to knit. Pull your yarn and pull it through the loop on your hook. Do the same for the next pegs and do this all the way round as many aspects as you like. In my case, I am going to use 41 pegs for the size extra-large. However, make sure that your yarn is on the inside of your knitting loom.

Step 3

It will be better if you write down your plan and mark the pegs. I am also following the marks that I have made on the pegs previously. Okay, now, you have to apply the purl stitch to make a knit stitch. Then we are going to make the drop stitch, which means a knit stitch and the same peg you wrap your yarn around three times, then move to the next one. Continue this process until you reach the other end. Make sure to leave the last two of this row.

Step 4

On the last two pegs, you have to use a purl stitch and the left one a knit stitch. Now, take the yarn that you have wrapped earlier and then pull off all those loops. One loop will be left on your pack; you have to take that one and curl. Do the same for the next one, take them off and curl. Now, you have to pull the loops through. To do this, insert your needle with the right side in front of the left side of the first loop and back of the second loop. Then, put the needle through the center of the stitch and pull both the loops through.

Step 5

Now Knit All the Pegs Straight and Stop at the Last Two Pegs

Now knit all the pegs straight and stop at the last two pegs. Once you finish this process, you can pull the yarn to see the drop stitch fall down. Continue these processes until you finish the process and making your stitch poncho. Hopefully, this guide will help you to make a drop-stitch poncho easily. Making a drop-stitch poncho is not as difficult as you think. Just be careful while taking the stitch off from the needles.
